Panda Pouch #2

I think these leather pouches from Aranziaronzo.com are amazingly cute. I’d think they were cuter if they were pleather, but that’s just me.  They come in three sizes, pencil pouch, coin purse, and a larger 15x19cm pouch. They also come in your choice of three colors: camel, dark brown, and black. Prices are a bit steep, especially because you have to tack on the additional $14.00+ shipping from Japan, but I think they’re so cute they’re worth it!

Available at Aranziaronzo.com for $13.00 to $30.00!

Panda ECO

I’m not a fan of huge SUVs, they tend to be pushy towards my little Chevy Cobalt. So, I wouldn’t hesitate to drive the tiny little Panda ECO. The Panda ECO also emits lower emissions than most other cars: Eco-friendly panda, of course.  It gets between 42-56mpg, so it might even win over an SUV lover’s heart! Read more about it here.

Panda Mug

I saw these adorable cups on BabyGadget today and fell in love. Imagine a cute little panda face to greet you with your morning cup of coffee?

Only $10.00 from Black Ink!

Panda Fresh

How about a cute little panda air freshener for your car? I’m contemplating buying this one only to see what it smells like. The description says “it is scented with a perfume scent that you’ll love” while the photo clearly shows the scent is Samourai – which is…? Your guess is as good as mine. Luckily, it’s only $2.80 from JList, so it’s not too much of an investment to cease my curiosity. If you happen to buy one before I do, let me know what it smells like!

Panda Pumpkin

Look how adorable this panda pumpkin is! I plan on getting some pumpkins to carve this weekend. You’re never too old for Halloween fun, right? If you carve any panda pumpkins this year, be sure to email me a photo and I’ll post it!

Little Panda Book

I wrote about the Little Panda book awhile ago here, but now there’s a website dedicated just to the book. It’s adorable! I especially love the sketchbooks filled with pandas below. I’d love a sketchbook full of pandas, wouldn’t you? I just love her style of illustration! The book comes out October 27 (Random fact I have memorized for no reason: it’s the 300th day of the year), but until then you can visit the book site www.littlepandabook.com.

Denver Zoo Red Panda Babies

Amaya, a girl, and Takeo, a boy, are the newest red pandas at the Denver Zoo and are close to being on exhibit. At 3 months old, you can see how cute they are and I can’t wait until they go on exhibit so I can go see them! Below you can see how adorable they are during a vet check-up. The little squeals kill me!

Panda Ear Cleaner

Yes, you read the title right: ear cleaner. Apparently in Japan, this is the traditional ear cleaner, not Q-tips. Regardless of what it’s for, it’s cute and it’s cheap! It reminds me of those little drums we played in kindergarten. Maybe that’s what it’s supposed to look like?

Only $3.25 from Jlist.

Chicken Soup for the Stressed Out Panda Soul

Three-year-old Xiwang and Weiwei were unsettled by the tens of thousands of visitors to Wuhan Zoo during last week’s National holidays.

The pair, whose names mean “Hope” and “Greatness” in Chinese, began pacing restlessly around their enclosure, according to He Zhihua, their keeper.

“They had been getting less sleep,” he said. “We felt it would be good to give them the soup because they were fatigued and had a bit of a shock.”

Chicken soup is a traditionally medicinal food in China, and each panda was given a litre of homemade soup in addition to its regular diet of bamboo, milk and buns. “They loved it,” said Mr He. “They drank it like they drank their milk.”

Although pandas have a taste for bamboo, they are not averse to eating meat in the wild, occasionally devouring birds and insects. Another panda at the zoo, Dudu, was fed ground meat for the last decade of his life because his teeth became too weak to chew through bamboo.

Xiwang and Weiwei are refugees from the Wolong Panda Reserve in Sichuan, which was affected by the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that struck the province in May.
