Brooke Shields Panda

I came across this hilarious, yet adorable, panda pattern at Heavens to Betsy Vintage pattern shop. The pattern itself is quite cute and I think it would make a lovely stuffed panda for anyone, however what I find amusing is the young Brooke Shields. It’s from 1983, and though that picture makes her look 12 she was actually 18. Who knew she was such a panda lover back in the day? She has her own branded panda pattern, that’s just odd to me and I don’t know why.

Regardless, you can buy it for $20.00 if you so desire.

Papercut Panda

I found these cute little panda cut-outs at CraftCreations.com. You can download it there, or I’ve uploaded a copy to my site here, as well.

It’s an adorable pattern that doesn’t look too intricate or complicated. It would make a lovely card or an embellishment for a scrapbook page. I think I’m going to give it a try later this week! Let me know how it works out for you if you try it.

Panda Throw

If you’re into sewing, you can make this adorable panda throw! The pattern is really cheap (only $8.95!) and seems pretty easy to make. It looks like one of those fleece tie blankets, so I don’t even think any sewing is required. Look for Simplicity pattern 3955 at your local fabric store.

Fabric Panda

I’m lusting over this fabric I found at ETSY (can you tell I’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time there lately?). FromJapanWithLove has 1/2 yard of this listed for $14.00. Though a bit pricey, I’d be more than willing to pay it if I could think of something adorable to make with it. But, being a poor student, I can’t really justify spending that much on half of a yard of fabric I don’t have plans for. Grr!

Snatch it up before I change my mind. Please?!

Crafty Panda Project

I’ve recently become obsessed with all things crafty – painting, sewing, quilting, paper crafts, etc. Craftster.org has become like a second home to me, and I wanted to share this panda project that was posted by forum member funiscool. There is no tutorial, but it seems pretty straight forward: cut out little shapes and glue them down on a piece of cardstock, then frame. I think I might try something similar soon. That place is so inspiring! If you join, add me as a friend!

This post is dedicated to OragamiPanda who requested more crafty posts!

Crafty Panda

Craftster is my obsession. I can spend hours and hours (even days!) scouring the forums and still not be satisfied. This amazing panda sleep mask was made by forum member pandaz and she even was kind enough to post an awesome tutorial on how to make it! Larger images and complete text can be found here.

Amigurumi Panda

This little guy is apparently easy to make, at least for you crocheters out there. It’d be a bit more difficult for me, I’m sure! The pattern to make him is available for free on Lion Brand Yarn‘s website. Yay, I love free stuff!

HP Panda

With the release of the new move Kung Fu Panda, there has been a flood of panda products in the market. I love it. Granted, it’s mostly branded things, but some are quite cute. HP has a whole page of project ideas that include this papercraft panda mask. There are tons to chose from and most of them look fun!

Panda Yarn

While panda only in name, I think their logo is cute, so I’m gonna mention them. Panda Yarn apparently has a reputation for quality, so I have no qualms suggesting you buy their product – if only because of the name. You could always knit a panda project using panda yarn on panda knitting needles!

Panda Knitting Needles

Keeping with the whole learn-to-knit goal I’ve set for myself, here is a set of knitting needles that I must have if I ever actually begin to knit.

Available for $24.99 in DesignsbyTami’s Etsy shop.
