I was stopped in my tracks when I saw a post on SwissMiss about Memento Works. The old, worn panda photo reminded me of an old friend I had in elementary school. It seems I’m not the only sentimental one around, Memento Works will photograph (beautifully) your favorite old pal so it will finally have the respect it deserves after being stuffed in a box in your mother’s attic for the past30 years.
If your old memento is MIA, it’s ok – they have an image gallery (like the one below titled “2 pandys”) that you can purchase a print from. I’m contemplating getting one of this panda guy for my new apartment. Though prices are only available by request, so that usually means it’s out of my price range…
This awesome business card belongs Adam Rifkin. Now if only I could find a way to incorporate pandas into my business cards…

I am absolutely in love with Bobsmade.com, a German artist’s website. For a very reasonable fee (usually less than $150 USD) you can get a hand painted, customized piece of functional artwork! They customize everything from shoes to glasses to headphones. Obviously, it’s custom so you can choose anything you’d like but check out their adorable previously painted pandas!
Also, they have freebies. Here’s a cute iPhone/iPad panda background!

Seeing as my BFFAEAE is going to be an astronaut soon, I couldn’t help but love these digital art depictions of panda astronauts. According to the artist, xiaobaosg, they’re inspired by the Soviet Union’s old propaganda posters. Be sure to visit the artist’s deviantART and Facebook page to check out a ton more panda themed designs. (and to let him know how amazing his artwork is!)
more after the cut…
I’ve been researching paper cutting the past few weeks; I’d like to make one and frame it for a friend. It’s customizable so it would make a perfect gift for anyone, actually. Best of all, it’s inexpensive – after the initial investment of an Exacto knife and a cutting surface, the only cost is the price of a sheet of paper! However, if you don’t have the patience to do it yourself, have no fear – you can easily purchase the perfect piece. There are a ton of beautiful papercut pieces on Etsy, here are a couple of panda pieces I’ve fallen in love with…
The first if a vintage set from MelodysandMemories’s Etsy shop. Only $13.00 for 8 pieces!
The second is an adorable panda cub and mom mounted on a white matte. Adorable! Only $15.00 from Pandagoldfish’s Etsy’s shop.
This adorable decal is available for only $14.50 at ChuckEBrydWallArt’s Etsy shop. It would be the perfect addition to a panda themed nursery, no?
Adorable, right? Belgian artist Ben Heine creates a mix of reality and imagination with his amazing art. See more at the artist’s website, here. Some artwork is available for purchase, but I couldn’t find this particular piece for sale. Probably a good thing for my pocketbook – most of his artwork sells in the thousands…
